SEL-J Sports, Inc., having been recognized and certified by the Philippine Sports Commission (PSC) in 2009 as a legitimate sporting organization in the country, has become a meccah for excellence in motocross. Top players and icons like motocross poster boy Glenn Aguilar, the legendary Jovie Saulog, and 2009 Golden Wheel Awardee Donark Yuzon, are just some of the banner sportsmen of the club. There are more than 20 others who are just as brilliant in the race track, and are on their own way to superstardom.

Jay Y. Lacnit, President of SEL-J Sports, Inc., and the prime advocate for the rehabilitation of motocross in the Philippines, has set a rule for all club members: “Be the best that you can be. There is no tolerance for mediocrity. You are being prepared for international competitions. The 2009 series and 2010 challenge are simply springboards for greatness. Excellence is the only rule”.

The riders have responded to Mr. Lacnit’s philosophy, earning rewards in major national competitions. Today, as they rev and roar their engines at the starting line, it is almost certain that you find them next holding the checkered flag.

Jay Lacnit is the Team Manager of SEL-J Sports and is the President and General Manager of SEL-J Pharmaceuticals Corporation. Jay’s passion for motor racing, which dates back in his younger days as a rider himself and with a string of victories in various competitions, helped kindle the creation of SEL-J Sports. His love for extreme and danger sports speaks volumes of his persona – one which takes challenges as a way of life, and faces, not runs away, from risks.

Jay’s romance with motocross is shown in the stable of riders under Team SEL-J, who are all achievers and champions in various competitions. In 2009, SEL-J Sports will host a 12-leg series, the first one which had taken place last August 8 in Molinos 3, Bacoor, Cavite City. It was a huge success, with 49 racers coming from different teams participating. The succeeding events will take place in various tracks in Metro Manila and the provinces.

Jay envisions that SEL-J Sports will become a huge household name in the realm of sports, and even plans to participate in international competitions.
