Founder/President’s Message
It is with pride and honor that I present to you SEL-J Sports and this website.
It has been my life-long dream to be at the forefront of healthcare in this country, and I believe that in my little capacity as owner of one of the Philippines’ most active and aggressive national pharmaceutical companies, I have somehow made this dream happen. SEL-J Pharma Corporation offers healthcare products and services which are exactly geared to respond to the Filipinos’ needs of quality, safety and affordability.
But managing diseases is just one part of the equation, the better part is creating steps to prevent diseases from happening. A physically-fit body is, in itself, a prime solution against the perils of sickness. This is where SEL-J Sports was born, and the birthing of this part of the organization was to complement the mainline pharmaceuticals business of the company.
I chose motoracing as SEL-J Sports’ banner event because I believe, and I am attracted, to what the sports can do not only to the body but to the racer’s spirit as well. There is a sense of achievement in being able to fly with a heavy machine, where the driver can kiss the winds and romance the sky. There is no better adrenaline than that.
But I do not end with motor racing. It is just the beginning. Watch us.

SEL-J Pharma Corporation
SEL-J Pharma Corporation was born through a simple dream ten years ago. The dream was turned into a passion, and the passion was nurtured, loved, and cherished over the years. Today, SEL-J is a decent player in the Philippine pharmaceuticals market, slowly recognized by both customers and competitors as an emerging force.
One of the country’s biggest importers of drugs and medicines, SEL-J is supplying a large chunk of healthcare products in government institutions through tenders and bids. At the same time that the government business is developed, the company has also appointed sub-distributors and dealers in major cities in the country to ensure better and wider distribution of its portfolio.
In 2008, SEL-J ventured into the prescription market. It engaged the services of marketing and sales operations experts to engineer the creation of the ethical team. Over a period of one year, the SEL-J Ethical Team was formed, now with about 50 Professional Sales Executives and First-line Managers mostly coming from big multinational corporations. SEL-J products are now in most major hospital formularies, as well as in big value chains like Mercury Drug, Rose Pharmacy, and Southstar Drug.
SEL-J Sports was formally launched in 2009, as a non-profit organization owned by SEL-J Pharma Corporation. It is envisioned to foster and develop sports awareness among employees as a key vehicle towards wellness and fitness. It is also the organization’s vision to grow and build the sports franchise of the company that will, in the long term, attract other companies to advertise their products and services.

Our vision is to reduce incidence of disease and sickness by creating a healthy Philippines.
